14 year old Mary Veatch of Salem, Utah was in the studio today recording original songs. She is very talented—she, herself providing piano accompaniment and vocals.
Mary is Clarke Jackman’s second cousin through the Jackman line. Her musical talent is another manifestation of the musical genes that prevail in the Jackman genealogy. There are amateur musicians in that family traced, so far, back to 1630 Exeter, Devonshire, England; and stories of Jackman fiddlers playing for dancing among the Mormon Pioneers. Jackman cousins are found still today playing music in England, and in Massachusetts where they landed in America.
