Taking a sweet turn on the general love theme of the day, we have decided to feature love songs centering on the love of Christ, love for family, and love for one another.

Love One Another – VS – A. Laurence Lyon – #00115
Beautiful, flowing hymn anthem arranged by Laurence Lyon for medium solo voice and piano accompaniment, from the scriptural setting from John 13:34-35: “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.” Click here for more details.

(Also available for violin solo #01733–Visit here to listen to an audio segment with the violin.)

Hymns of Love Medley – SATB – Donald Ripplinger – #00961
Classic hymn medley arrangement for four-part choir, interweaving “Where Love Is,” “Love Is Spoken Here,” and “Love One Another.” Words and music by Joanne B. Doxey and Marjorie C. Kjar, Janice Kapp Perry, and Luacine Clark Fox. Click here for more details.
The Savior’s Love – violin solo – Michael Mills – #09041
Played with “loving reverence,” this violin solo combines two hymns, “I Feel My Savior’s Love” and “Our Savior’s Love,” in a simple, angelic arrangement by Michael J. Mills. The warm piano accompaniment adds depth and warmth to the violin solo—performing mostly melody with a modest amount of additional melodic expression—written in D major. Click here for more details.
Love at Home – SATB – Robert Manookin – #00827
Editor’s Choice! Inspiring choral piece for SATB voices and organ accompaniment (easily adapted for piano). This Manookin arrangement has been written simply, but with rich harmony—producing an easy piece for your choir to sing but still yielding a large, warm sound—performed many times by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
