O Come, O Come, Emmanuel - SATB
Randy Kartchner provides new dimension to the beloved Advent hymn “O Come, O Come, Emmanuel” in this expressive SATB arrangement. With rich harmonies, thoughtful choral writing, and a gradually expanding texture, the arrangement brings fresh energy to this familiar hymn while preserving its sense of longing and hope. The music builds naturally from a simple opening into a full choral sound, including a striking key change that leads to a powerful final chorus and the hopeful declaration, “shall come to thee, O Israel.”
Clear voice-leading and well-crafted vocal parts make the arrangement accessible to a wide range of church choirs, while a substantial piano accompaniment adds depth and momentum throughout. The accompaniment is best suited to a confident, experienced pianist. Access to Jackman Music rehearsal tracks is included, giving singers a convenient way to hear and learn their individual parts, and an optional Piano Accompaniment Part is available to make page turns easier during performance. This arrangement makes an impactful addition to a Christmas worship service, concert, or seasonal choir program.
