Choral arrangement for women's chorus (SSA) and piano. This piece tells the story of an old man who crosses a chasm with rolling waters. After he crosses, he builds a bridge. A fellow pilgrim asks him why he is wasting his strength since his journey is almost through and he will never pass that way again. The old man answers him by telling him that a youth will pass that way and the chasm might be a pitfall for him. The old man is building that bridge for him. Highest note: G.
