Celebrate the joy and power of the Resurrection with "The Day That Changed Everything," a radiant Easter anthem that testifies of Jesus Christ and the life-changing hope found in Him. Inspired by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf’s description of Easter as “the day that changed everything,” this Award of Distinction recipient in the 2024 Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints music contest (and featured in the February 2026 issue of The Friend) traces the Savior’s journey—from the manger to the cross to the empty tomb—culminating in the triumphant declaration that He lives. With heartfelt lyrics and an uplifting melody, the piece beautifully expresses both the majesty of the Resurrection and its deeply personal meaning: because He lives, we are healed, redeemed, and made whole.

Tender, reflective verses rise into a glorious chorus proclaiming, “With the heavens sing praise to God, our King, on this day that changed everything!” The music invites singers and listeners alike to rejoice in the living Christ and to feel renewed faith in His eternal mission of love. Whether performed by soloists, full choir, or a combination of adult and children’s voices, the result is a powerful expression of testimony and praise.

Available in two settings, this anthem offers meaningful flexibility for Easter worship. The Children’s Chorus version—scored for Children’s Chorus, C Instrument (violin, flute, etc.), cello, and piano—is especially suited for Primary programs and Resurrection services, providing an engaging, memorable way for young voices to bear witness of the Savior.
